HAPPY EASTER !

This month we start off with our Easter Bonnet parade on the 1st April, prizes for the winners in all age ranges.

We have world health day on the 7th April, and we will be doing some food tasting of some super/healthy foods.

Ramadan begins on the 12th April, and one of the main focuses of Ramadan is to be aware of the struggles of others, and to carry out good deeds. With this in mind we will be collecting for the local food bank.

St Georges day is on the 23rd April, and we will be discussing the history behind St George and his dragon, and creating our own dragons too!

National dance day is on 29th April, and we will be carrying out music and movement sessions, with the help of Leah who is a registered ballet teacher.

Our setting has been asked by Walsall Education to trial the new Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory framework, which becomes a legal framework in September 2021.

Sharon has been on several courses relating to the new guidance and we will be implementing this after Easter. The main difference’s to the curriculum are a stronger focus on language and communication ,and Physical development.

With this in mind we start Didi Rugby at the setting on Wednesday  21st April. We have a rugby coach, and his assistant coming in to do some short sessions with our 2,3 and 4 year old children.

It will be outdoors, and they will be wearing face shields. They are all DBS checked and of course the staff will be present at the sessions.

On Thursday  22nd April we welcome back Pyjama drama. These sessions are based on enriching the language of the children, through interaction and participation in a story.

We hope to invite more people back to the setting as we move out of lockdown.

Don’t forget we move to normal opening hours week commencing 12th April 07.30-6.00pm, thank you all for your patience during our restricted hours. 

All staff now have 2 covid tests per week, provided by the Government to our setting, we will continue the testing as long as we are asked to do so.
