July News

The staff and children at the nursery have been supporting the England team at the Euro’s by wearing football kits on the England match days, and by doing lots of football based activities. The children are having great fun. Following on the sports theme, we will be having a sports day on Friday 9th July, so the children can wear sports wear if they like?

The month’s of July and August tend to evolve around transition at the nursery. Many children will be preparing for their move to a new school or setting, and others will be moving rooms at our setting. We do lots of PSED work with the children regarding change and transition, and in pre school we have an area where the children can see pictures of their new schools, uniforms, and their new teachers pictures, to aid them in their next steps.

Some of you will have children turning three before September, so please remember to log onto the  Childcarechoices website and claim your code for the 15/30 hours funding.Once you have your code you will need to complete forms at the nursery, so that we can claim for the funding on your behalf. We will require your codes for Early August to allow us to process the data.

If possible, can your child leave a sun hat and sun cream at the setting, so it is avaliable for us to use on sunny days, without both  the children cant go outside.

We are hoping restriction do end this month, but at the moment we are still adhering to Government Guidelines, so please do not send your child into the setting with a cough or a temperature, as they will be sent home and required a lab based covid test before being allowed to return to the nursery. Your child must also be symptom free to return to nursery.
