JUNE NEWS

We have been experiencing some beautiful weather recently, so please don’t forget to pack your child’s suncream into their bags each day, and supply a sun hat. We do have daily outdoor play, and whilst we do have some spare hats, its better for the children to have their own.

We had a glorious day for our Royal Wedding Tea Party. All the children and staff enjoyed a traditional English tea party with cucumber and jam sandwiches, and cakes and ice cream to follow. The children made hats and banners, and then danced the afternoon away in the sunshine.

Jade in our Tweenie 2 room even sent Harry and Meghan some of the children’s work as a wedding gift.

This month we say goodbye to Zoe from our Pre school room. She is off on maternity leave whilst waiting for the arrival of her son in five weeks. We all thank Zoe for her hard work and commitment to the nursery over the past three years, and wish her well in her new adventure into mother hood.

This month we will be focusing on maths and science, and getting the children outdoors to do some science experiments. We will be looking at solids and liquids, floating and sinking, and making experiments with baking powder and vinegar.

Can I ask that all parents whose children will be leaving in July/August do submit a leaving notice ASAP please. We have so many parents waiting for places and leaving dates would allow me to arrange settle sessions for our new children, and to plan leavers parties and Graduation days.

Many Thanks
